How StreetPulse is scored
In September 2026, FinTwit asked for a Fear & Greed meter that lives on the timeline instead of in a cable chyron. StreetPulse is that meter: a 0–100 print of retail mood on X, built like CNN Fear & Greed and AAII bull/bear, but trained on cashtags, not closes.
What it is
The headline index is a weighted blend of eight drivers. Each driver is normalized to 0–100 over a rolling 90-day window. Higher means greedier. Crash talk is inverted so a spike in “recession incoming” threads pulls the print down.
This demo ships with a deterministic sample tape so the product is usable without an X API key. Wire a live ingest later: pull finance-tagged posts, extract cashtags, score language, weight by a follower proxy, write a snapshot every 15 minutes.

A high print is not a short signal and a low print is not a long signal. It is a measure of how loud and one-sided the crowd is.
